2010 Winning Story
"In June 2006, Aaron and I were enjoying our very first stay at the
Inn at Cannon Beach. This was an exciting weekend for us as it was
our first weekend getaway. One night we built a bonfire on the beach and
roasted marshmallows and Aaron looked me in the eyes and told me he loved
me for the first time. Since then, that weekend is called our "I love
you" weekend.
Two years later while we were camping in Cannon Beach with some friends,
Aaron took me for a walk on that very same beach. It was a cold and
windy 4th of July morning. As we walked hand in hand enjoying the view
of the ocean, Aaron slowly turned towards me, dropped down to one knee
and proposed. In June 2009, exactly 3 years from when we first said "I
love you," we
said "I do". Needless to say, Cannon Beach means a lot to us.
It would be a very romantic way to spend our first Valentine 's Day
as a married couple by visiting the Inn at Cannon Beach again."
